New AZ 13-770 sheet pile

ArcelorMittal is proud to announce that our mill in Belval, Luxembourg, has successfully started the industrial production of a new steel sheet pile: the new AZ 13-770, the largest hot-rolled steel sheet pile Z-section in the world.

Our aim has always been to offer more and more cost-effective solutions to our customers, and in collaboration with our R&D we will continue developing new sections and innovative solutions in the future.

This brand new section is 770mm wide, 100mm wider than the existing AZ 13, and is available in all standard steel grades. Like any other AZ section, it can be rolled in different thicknesses, the nominal thickness being 9.0mm.

Compared to the existing AZ 13 section, for the same section modulus of 1300cm³/m, the new AZ13-770 is around 9% lighter, around 15% wider.

Note that the existing AZ 13 will continue to be produced.
