Arcelor Projects has acquired a strong experience in supply of pipes for civil engineering projects. Through this long experience, Arcelor Projects evolved towards a referential supplier for foundation pipes in Europe. The most important applications are:

Production of spirally welded pipes

Production spirally welded pipes

ArcelorMittal Projects owns, since april 2005, a unique production facility for spirally welded pipes, named ArcelorMittal Projects Spiral Mill. This facility is dedicated to the production of pipes for foundation applications. The site, located close to the port of Rotterdam, with direct access for deep-water vessels, is the ideal spot for production and handling of very large and heavy pipes.

ArcelorMittal Projects Spiral Mill, formerly known as De Boer Buizen, has the exceptional feasibility to produce pipes up to 49m length without butt-weld.
Diameters go up to 3000 mm, steel thicknesses up to 25mm.

Pipes ex-stock

ArcelorMittal Projects has, besides its own production capacities, a large volume of surplus pipes, spirally welded as well as longitudinally welded. The stock mainly consists of new steel tubes which result mainly from surplus lots of the oil and gas industry.

Through its worldwide network of pipe producers, ArcelorMittal Projects will find the products needed by its customers, if inquiries would exceed its own production capabilities.

Our engagement is to find for our customers the technically and economically optimal solution, even if it falls outside our own production range.

End products

Steel tubes are for most applications only a basis of the solution. Each project has special requisites. In order to answer to this complex demand, ArcelorMittal Projects has different welding and fabrication halls, with direct access to the water. Thanks to handling capacities up to 100 ton, with state-of-the-art welding machinery and solely certified welders, ArcelorMittal Projects is able to fabricate all finished products itself. Pipes of own production as well as pipes ex-stock can be made on lengths up to 65m.

Fabrication of piles for combined walls, special welds, coating, water tightening, etc. can also be done on site, in order to reduce delivery times and cost.
